So tonight I was sitting at the bench tying some new flies, using a new method. I was tying a really basic wool head sculpin. I will post some pictures tomorrow of it, I really like the way it turned out. Well now I figure if I can tie some wool heads that I could easily learn to spin deer hair. I have tried before, but it gave me all kinds of fits.
Anyways, spring is right around the corner. Today and yesterday were both above 50 degrees, and all the rivers are freed up, but blow the hell out. With rain for the next few days I think it will be blown out until after the weekend.
Hopefully in the next week or so I w
ill also be going to Iowa to pick up my pontoon boat. I am really excited because this will get me to the parts of some private ponds that I have and haven’t been able to get to because of lack of shore access. Well until next time blog followers tight lines and peace.
It’s been a while since I’ve posted here.
I won’t bore you with the details, but I’ve been incredibly sick since christmas. as you may or may not know, I have Crohns Disease. Knocked me down for a bit, but I am slowly getting better. They need to do something about health care in the United States. It’s sad when I am essentially left to fend for myself and can’t afford it. Whatever! I am somewhat on the mend.
Thanks for checkin’ in! Until next time bloggers, tight lines.
