So things have been going slow. working tons of hours a week. roughly 50 hours a week. I am not complaining though, I enjoy the money.

Been tying alot too, when I have the time atleast. I also got two new reels, a Ross Rhythm and an Orvis mid arbor reel. both reels are super nice they will get tons of use once the spring comes. oh how I miss spring.
Steelhead have been running nicely since all the rain has come and gave the steelhead the push into the rivers. I have caught three more since my last post bringing my total to ten. I have also hooked well over 25. If I was playing baseball I’d be hitting over .400, but fishing wise I am just not coming through. Maybe because when I go out I am exhausted, but I am not one to make excuses.
Until next time tight lines and happy holidays!

Happiness is an emotion associated with feelings ranging from contentment and satisfaction to bliss and intense joy. A variety of philosophical, religious, psychological and biological approaches have been taken to defining happiness and identifying its sources.

Well atleast that is what www.wikipedia.org had to say it was. In todays society there is alot of anger. Anger towards a majority of America for voting in a black president (I for one am pleased that America as a whole changed, and did something for the better), or as I see day in day out people getting mad at a clerk at a store for something that clerk has no control over. Be happy folks!

Happiness comes in many forms. For some, it’s seeing someone, for others it’s doing something, and for the select few it’s doing…. Well nothing. So today I challenge you to make yourselves happy. Do what ya got to do, ’cause you only live once.

So alot has been going on in my life this year. The last two months have been good to me though.

October was such a nice month to fish, sure I got laid off a week before halloween, but that ment tons of fishing until I found  job. Which I did, it is only seasonal, but for now it will do. Once the first of the year hits, and I get axed from there, I think I am going to go to school to be an ultrasound technologist. It isn’t the most stimulating job in the world, but being sick as I constantly am. They say there is always need for people in the medical field, and I enjoy helping people. I mean, it is not the biggest way to help people, but it might bring joy to some.
In November I finally caught my first steelie of the season. Sure it wasn’t big (24 1/2 inches) but it was my first one and it got me on track. I have now since caught five more which is four more than I could have imagined. November also brought some snow which ment fly tying. It isn’t the same as fishing, but it is close enough and it relaxes me. What else is there to say.
Either way, now that I think I have things figured out for now atleast, I feel my life is on track again… I hope it stays that way.

I would like to thank Jay Morr at flyfishermanforum.com for putting up a fly called the MacDaddy. It is relatively easy to tie, and from what I understand it catches big fish. so here it is; the MacDaddy:

So it’s been quite a while since my last posting.
The weather here has been cold, rainy and snowy. I really haven’t had much time to fish as I got laid off and had to find a new job, which took about three and a half weeks. Now that I do have a job, things seem to be getting better. But I don’t really know. I think I will work through the summer doing back breaking labor, and in the fall go to school full time, and repeat.
I have been tying tons of flies after work though! that makes me happy, and oddly enough relaxes me.
