I can feel it everyday I am awake; the days shortening. The nights becoming colder, the days too cooler. Tree’s turning into beautiful colors. The animals preparing for winter, fattening up.

I also got reports steelhead are running up into the rivers and tributaries. To me this is the biggest notion fall is upon us. These beautiful “silver bullets”, as they are sometimes called are the best thing in the great Cleveland area. They will take you to beautiful places, they will make your drag scream they will make you quiver with excitement.
The summer has been somewhat forgettable, a few fish, none to really write home about. Other than the 5lb bass I caught in the spring, but hey thats spring not summer. the Chagrin has been giving me fits this summer. Days where I will catch 30-40 smallmouth bass, and others where I can’t buy a bite. Some where I can’t keep the rock bass off of my line, or the bluegill fight over the fly but can’t engulf it because they are too small.
I have seen alot of wildlife this year also. I have seen deer, muskrats, beavers and snapping turtles. I have seen cardinals, osprey, heron of all sorts and variety’s. The deer are coming out in vast quantities now. Oh Fall is upon us.
